SLB Warehouse – Where Industrial Scale Meets Architectural Precision
Architecture, commercial interiors, and drone photography for Choate Construction
Nestled in the industrial landscape of Texas, the SLB Warehouse is a testament to how functionality and architectural scale can intersect with clarity, precision, and thoughtful design. Partnering with Choate Construction, this project encapsulates the evolution of modern industrial design—balancing raw utility with streamlined aesthetics and massive scale.
From the moment we launched the drone above the sprawling complex, the magnitude of the facility came into focus. Spanning millions of square feet, the SLB site is a meticulously organized hive of productivity. Rows of solar panels, geometric patterns of parking lines, and massive white-roofed buildings glowed against the soft golden hour light—a photographer’s dream when capturing scale and order.
Choate Construction’s influence is immediately apparent in the warehouse’s clean architectural lines, efficient layout, and polished integration of massive mechanical systems. We documented everything from towering storage racks and heavy-duty cranes to the intricately laid-out HVAC and piping systems that wind through both ceiling and floor with industrial grace.
Inside, the facility reveals an orchestration of activity: organized racking systems, vibrant color-coded machinery, and crisp circulation paths—all designed for optimal workflow and safety. Capturing these interior moments meant balancing technical lighting challenges with visual storytelling—making sure each image reflects both the utility and rhythm of the space.
One of the visual highlights of the project was photographing the infrastructure elements—the walkways, canopies, and utility lines that connect buildings like arteries in a living system. The symmetry and repetition these features provide create dynamic compositions, often reminiscent of architectural minimalism.
The exterior shots, both from the ground and the sky, reveal the project’s sheer footprint. With strategic landscaping, bold signage, and clean perimeters, Choate has ensured that even a facility of this size feels organized and intentional, not just functional.
This shoot wasn’t just about documenting a structure—it was about translating the language of industrial design into visual form. The SLB Warehouse project represents an ongoing dialogue between architecture, engineering, and the real-world needs of high-scale logistics.
It was a privilege to capture this scale and complexity. Through our lens, we aimed to honor the incredible work done by the design and construction teams, as well as the facility’s future in powering one of the world’s largest energy services companies.
