From Polished to Hidden: Renny’s Bold Dual Personality
Hospitality interiors photography for Mitchell Garman Architects
At Renny’s Bar & Grill, nothing is quite what it seems—and that’s exactly the charm. Designed by Mitchell Garman Architects, this Dallas dining destination balances two dramatically different vibes under one roof. Up front, you’re greeted by a sleek, modern aesthetic—soaring ceilings, sculptural chandeliers, and warm wood tones that create a sense of calm sophistication. Custom booths, soft textures, and carefully curated art make the space feel refined but welcoming.
But the real surprise lies behind a secret door.
Slip past the façade and you’ll discover a moody, low-lit speakeasy—a complete contrast to the open, airy feel of the main dining room. Rich wallpaper, jewel-toned seating, and glowing pendant lights give the space an intimate, almost cinematic quality. It’s a nod to old-school glamour with a modern twist, inviting guests to linger over cocktails in velvet-draped comfort.
This project was a photographer’s dream—full of dramatic lighting, unexpected textures, and a clear design narrative that moves from light to dark, from public to hidden. Renny’s doesn’t just serve up craft food and cocktails—it serves up an experience in every detail, and we were honored to capture its layered personality through the lens.
