Kimes Ranch Store: Where Industrial Heritage Meets Western Retail Flair
Architecture and commercial interiors photography for Bennett Partners Bennett Partners
The Kimes Ranch store in the Fort Worth Stockyards is a retail experience rooted in history and elevated by smart, modern design. Designed by Bennett Architects, the space evokes the essence of western heritage while fully embracing industrial textures and spatial drama.
From the outside, visitors are welcomed by the store’s bold signage and classic stucco facade—blending seamlessly with the historic district. Inside, raw brick, steel elements, and exposed ductwork create an authentic industrial palette that sets the tone for the brand’s rugged aesthetic.
Warm wood tones and custom retail fixtures soften the space, balancing the grit with a sense of approachability. Clever zoning and merchandising layouts allow natural light to guide the shopping flow across two levels. Denim stacks, vibrant western wear, and thoughtful display details make the architecture feel immersive and alive.
Photographically, the project celebrates texture, symmetry, and scale. Wide shots showcase volume and circulation, while close-ups reveal the materials and craftsmanship that give the space its identity.
Kimes Ranch is more than a store—it’s a retail statement. It's where Texas tradition meets retail precision.
