Brownfield High School – Where Design, Community, and Identity Collide

Architecture and commercial interiors photography for Parkhill

Brownfield High School is more than a modern educational facility—it’s a design-forward hub for learning, athletics, and technical training that reflects both pride of place and future vision. As architectural photographers, we had the pleasure of capturing a broad scope of this project—from expansive exterior shots at golden hour to vibrant interior moments filled with energy and identity.

At first glance, the exterior of Brownfield High School commands attention. Sleek metal paneling, dramatic rooflines, and wide expanses of glass create a crisp and inviting public face. The school's signature paw print emblem, prominently displayed in red, serves as both a graphic anchor and a proud symbol of community spirit. We photographed the façade at various times of day to highlight how light interacts with the material palette—creating bold shadows in full sun and soft reflectivity at dusk.

The interiors are where this project truly shines. Athletic pride pulses through the facility, especially in the state-of-the-art gymnasium and arena. Red and black finishes, custom graphics, and bold lighting give the gym an almost collegiate atmosphere. From wide aerial perspectives to courtside-level views, we captured the energy and layout of the space, designed for both performance and spectatorship.

Beyond athletics, the school’s technical education areas are a standout. Welding labs, automotive bays, woodworking studios, and collaborative makerspaces are designed with industry in mind. Polished concrete, exposed ceilings, and industrial lighting elevate the raw energy of these workspaces. Our approach here was to frame both the architecture and the action—students at work, tools in use, and environments full of motion and purpose.

Equally compelling are the commons and creative spaces. Zones labeled “CREATE” and “DISCOVER” serve as vibrant hubs for collaboration and student life. Pops of red against neutral tones, modern furnishings, and strong wayfinding elements contribute to a bold, navigable interior identity. These zones were carefully photographed with symmetry and wide perspectives to celebrate their openness and flexibility.

The school’s outdoor areas also reflect thoughtful planning—from shaded seating zones to accessible green space. These environments offer students spaces to connect, reflect, and recharge. We highlighted these with clean compositions and crisp daylight to show their integration with the campus layout.

Brownfield High School stands as a symbol of what’s possible when educational design embraces identity, functionality, and boldness. This project allowed us to tell a visual story that celebrates the many facets of a school built to elevate both student potential and community pride.
