Poolside Perfection: Capturing Outdoor Living in Plano, TX

This outdoor living space in Plano, TX offered the perfect combination of laid-back luxury and elevated design. From the shaded pavilion and stone fireplace to the poolside lounging and curated styling, our architecture and interior design photography team set out to showcase the textures, lifestyle, and thoughtful composition that make this backyard a true retreat.

The project centers around a custom pavilion with wood-paneled ceilings, a built-in fireplace and TV, and flexible seating arrangements designed for both entertainment and relaxation. Our wide-angle shots captured the structure’s balance of function and form, while tighter frames highlighted design details—such as woven poufs, layered textiles, and patterned ceramics.

Beyond the structure, we focused on the serenity and softness of the poolside vignettes. Cushioned loungers, striped throws, and organic textures in neutral tones provided the perfect palette for accent pops of blue and blush. Styled moments—a tray of drinks and desserts, a sunhat and magazine, or a cooler full of Topo Chico—helped us tell the story of how this space is meant to be enjoyed.

As photographers, we balanced crisp editorial framing with a lifestyle feel, using natural light to highlight softness in fabrics and greenery, as well as reflections on stone and water. The result is a gallery of images that feel both aspirational and approachable.
