Brookshire’s in Fate, TX – Community-Centered Retail Design Done Right
Architecture and commercial interiors photography for Joeris General Contractors
Set in the growing community of Fate, Texas, this Brookshire’s location takes the concept of a neighborhood grocery store to the next level. Designed with hospitality, freshness, and connection at its core, the store is not just a place to shop—but a destination that brings people together. Photographing this space allowed us to highlight how thoughtful design elevates everyday experiences.
From the moment you approach the building, the design is welcoming. The green-clad "Fresh Curbside" façade is bold, modern, and unmistakably branded, while the surrounding landscaping and signage communicate clarity and approachability. Early morning and twilight shots helped us accentuate the clean lines of the building against the big Texas sky.
Once inside, the store opens up into an expansive, well-organized layout featuring everything from a seafood market to a juice bar, gelato stand, charcuterie counter, and pizza kitchen. The signage throughout is large, graphic, and easy to read—important for wayfinding but also a significant part of the aesthetic identity. Our interior shots focused on these visual elements, capturing their scale and how they anchor each department.
One of the most impressive architectural features is the dining area. With indoor and outdoor seating, strung café lights, and rustic stone walls, the space invites guests to stay awhile. We used both wide-angle and intimate compositions to convey this atmosphere of comfort and community. The outdoor patio, in particular, is designed not just as a dining space but a venue—complete with stage signage for local live music events.
The produce section glows with color and symmetry, while custom fixtures and open ceilings keep the space airy and inviting. Whether showcasing the “Bake Shop” or “Chop House,” every corner of the store is designed to make grocery shopping feel enjoyable and intuitive. Our job as photographers was to highlight this harmony between design and function.
