AC + RI by Marriott – Dual-Branded Design with Distinctive Modern Geometry

Architecture exteriors and drone photography for T&D Systems

The AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Dallas represents a sophisticated evolution in hospitality architecture. Combining two hotel brands within one seamless footprint, this project required precision, clarity, and bold design gestures—all of which made it an exceptional subject for architectural photography.

One of the most striking features is the angular facade, with its sculptural depth and crisp geometric expression. From the street, the design communicates modern elegance through the use of white panels, recessed windows, and sharply folded planes that catch light differently throughout the day. Each angle is intentional, creating rhythm and movement across the surface of the building. Close-up shots reveal this depth—shadow lines emphasize the dynamic three-dimensionality that defines the project’s architectural identity.

Capturing this project required both ground-level precision and strategic drone work. From above, the building’s massing and integration into the dense urban grid becomes more legible. Drone views highlight the rooftop pool and amenity terrace, as well as the interplay between the two brands—each with its own entrance and signage, yet unified through architectural language.

On the ground, our images focus on the crisp lines of the facade, the rhythm of repeated forms, and the calm strength of the material palette. We emphasized the contrast between the building’s bold geometry and the softness of surrounding landscape elements.

The AC + RI project demonstrates that dual-brand hospitality doesn't have to compromise on style or spatial clarity. It’s a modern, urban solution with a clean aesthetic that speaks to both business and leisure guests. Through photography, we aimed to honor the clarity, craftsmanship, and striking geometry that makes this project a standout in downtown Dallas.
